AAPCA is an organisation set-up with the aim of providing real funding to enable groups and individuals to take positive and effective action to provide solutions to air pollution and to take measures to protect children and vulnerable people from the harmful effects of polluted air.
We want to reduce pollution levels across our busy towns and cities. Using products such as Aquaten Clean, a passive technology using organic fabric to adsorb the dangerous particles and pollutants floating in the air of our increasingly busy town and city centres.
It’s the minute particles – PM 2.5s and 10s – that are causing major health issues for masses of the population – school children, commuters, shoppers – and we aim to reduce the levels of dangerous pollution.
We have coined a phrase – Corridors of Shame – to highlight the main areas on which we should focus efforts to reduce pollution and protect large groups of people. For example, the roads, pavements and playgrounds outside inner city schools; tube and transport hubs; busy shopping areas.
By simply installing Aquaten Clean along the routes of these heavily populated areas we can reduce the levels of pollution naturally, making the corridors less dangerous and shameful.
If you would like to investigate the potential for reducing pollution in your area just let us know.
